CHEESE RANGE

Udder Delights... yesterday's cheese for today's people.

Udder Delights produces an award wining range of hand made cheeses that boast of authentic flavours and beautiful presentation.

We found our niche in the market place by making goat cheese that is mild in flavour, dispersing the myth that goat cheese has a ‘bucky' taste.

Our cheese range has continued to expand to see us now hand making Goat Curd, Chevre, Goat Feta, Goat Camembert, Goat Brie, Aged Ashed Goat Cheese, Adelaide Hills Camembert (jersey milk) and Adelaide Hills Brie (jersey milk). The Udder Delights Jersey Blue Cheese is currently under construction and will be released during the Spring of 2008.

To help differentiate our product on the shelves you will find that our goat cheeses have either a red or yellow label, while our jersey cow cheeses have a black label.

Goat Cheeses…

Goat Curd

The Udder Delights Goat Curd has a dense yet light texture and a tangy refreshing finish. This incredibly popular cheese has many uses – the most basic being spread over crusty bread. It is well suited to sweet and savoury dishes, and has a particularly good affinity with figs, prosciutto, honey & walnuts!

Goat Curd is available in 200g tubs (bar coded) and 1kg food service buckets – yellow label

Chevre

A beautiful subtle flavour with a delightfully creamy texture. The Chevre also has a slight acidity indicative of a fresh goat cheese.

The mildness of the Udder Delights Chevre makes it a perfect addition to almost any dish. Some of our favourites include pizza, pasta, risotto and salad.

The Chevre is now available in three varieties - plain, ashed and herbed; and in two different sizes - 200g log (bar coded) and 1kg food service log – yellow label

Marinated Chevre

A flavour sensation of Chevre marinated in a blend of oil, fresh herbs & garlic.

The flavour and appearance of the Marinated Chevre makes it irresistible. Pour it onto a large shallow serving plate, next to a bowl of crusty bread. As you rip the bread, dip it into the oil before spreading cheese on to it. Easy and impressive!

Available in 325g jars (bar coded) and 2L food service buckets – yellow label

Goats Feta

The Udder Delights Goat Feta is not made in a traditional manner. It is brined with unrefined Australian sea salt that is full of minerals.

The Udder Delights Feta is delicious pan fried. You will find the recipe on the back of the package. I serve this as an entrée or a snack. Again, a very easy yet impressive way to present the cheese.

Available in 200g blocks (bar coded) – yellow label

Goats Camembert

This fast ripening camembert is the most pungent of all the Udder Delights goat cheeses. The French absolutely adore the way in which this Normandy style Camembert ends its life running all over the platter on which it was served.

This is perfect for a cheese platter accompanied by muscatels or the like. Feel the sides of the Camembert before cutting it open. If it is very soft, then carefully cut a lid out of the top of the Camembert. This will create a self contained bowl of yummy runny Camembert that looks beautiful and will keep the platter neat.

Available in 120g rounds (bar coded) – yellow label

Goats Brie

Our Goat Brie was released early 2008. It is similar to our Goat Camembert, however you will find that the Brie is not as intense – a more mellow character, with yeasty undertones.

This cheese is also perfect for a cheese platter accompanied by muscatels or the like. Feel the sides of the Brie before cutting it open. If it is very soft, then carefully cut a lid out of the top of the Brie. This will create a self contained bowl of yummy runny Brie that looks beautiful and will keep the platter neat.

Available in 120g rounds (bar coded) – red label

Oscar

The Oscar is an aged ashed goat cheese that is hand made into a log shape and covered in white mould. It is deliciously full flavoured and ages to become quite firm in the summer months. A feast for the eyes and the palate.

The Oscar is the perfect addition to a cheese platter and will attract much attention. It can also be cut into black and white rind discs prior to serving.

Due to the temperamental nature of this fellow we let him go on holidays during winter, otherwise he starts to run everywhere and drop his bundle.

Available in 150g logs (bar coded) – red label

Jersey Cow Milk Cheeses…

Adelaide Hills Camembert

This 200g round of white mould ripened cheese is hand made in a traditional fashion. The cow milk we use comes from a single Jersey herd in the neighbouring Barossa Vally. Our Camembert ripens to become lusciously creamy, as a direct result of the buttery Jersy milk, coupled with a complex and pungent flavour like that of its French orginiators.

Available in 200g rounds (bar coded) – black label

Adelaide Hills Brie

Our Brie was originally available only in large 800g rounds, but as a result of high consumer demand for smaller portions we have released the Adelaide Hills Brie in 200g rounds. Like its Adelaide Hills Camembert counterpart, it is hand made from Jersey milk that results in a creamy rich texture. The Brie has an earthy ‘mushroomy' flavour that continues to develop in pungency as it ripens.

Available in 200g rounds (bar coded) & 800g wheels – black label
